Julian, I have a concern I'd like to put to you. I've been thinking about it lately, and I believe an outside perspective might help.

A very disturbing thought concerning Batman. I have been conducting business, and expecting some... stimuli, let's call it.

Perhaps tomorrow. Arbor Day. Passover still hasn't ended either.

Not at all. The grass is growing beneath my feet, and I have waited long and long enough in the past to realize something is wrong.

Needless to say, this is a problem.

[Because it means he has no competition and he is absolutely fantastic but... has nobody to supply him with the admiration to which he's become accustomed.]

It is. [ And the last thing Julian had said to Batman was that he wasn't worthy of the name. He didn't really mean it. He was just frustrated. Batman can't quit. ]

There are two possibilities. He truly did hang up the cape. Or the Porter decided the day had come to send him home. [ Neither of which please Julian. He needs Batman too. He needs the attention. ]

Either way is unacceptable.

There are so many bats and birds in this world. Perhaps one of them will take on the mantle.

I suppose they are intelligent enough to realize this is a grave matter and will respond accordingly?

But they may need a little push. Sometimes to get someone to attend a celebration you must send out invitations, after all.
